the more it snows …

Number Four and I were knocked over by stomach flu this week. It was grisly, so we won’t venture back there. Except to say that when my bout reached fever-pitch, Number Three’s friend was also locked in our bathroom. The antique lock jammed and I stood on the other side of the door, clutching my stomach and coaching her to remove the door hinges. Hinge-free, it still wouldn’t budge … and the firefighters were called in. Which wouldn’t have been so bad if I hadn’t been feeling (and looking) like 10 miles of bad road.  At any rate, our visitor was finally sprung and I banished everyone from the bathroom. We are now well. The end.

Lately, I’ve become a weekend-only blogger. And I feel the same way about blogging as I do about weekends—neither should be stressful. I aim to be well, be warm and hibernate the heck out of these two days. With Number Three out-of-town and Four at a sleep-over, I’m off the mother-chain. My goal? Make sleep happen and good things will follow.

The snow is falling beautifully and I’m content to watch it from inside. I hope your weekend is abundant and warm, friends!
